Just an update...we got our X5 back this past Friday and so far so good. The dealership did all of the battery and voltage tests and we seem good to go. No more warnings or error codes.

The problem was a fault TCU (which was tied into the Bluetooth and SOS modules); the bluetooth kept running (transferring contacts - stuck) causing the high battery drain, then leading to all the warnings.
