Double push to Stop

Just got my E70 35i with sport package. I've owned a lot of vehicles with push buttons to start/stop, but this is the first that requires a double push to completely shut the vehicle off (first push is ignition, second is accessories). Is there any setting that can be changed to entirely shut it off with a single push instead of two?

Why?
It will shut off regardless, when you lock you car.

that's the BMW way, you'll have to get use to it.

Also note that you don't have to push the park button, it will go in to park when you hit the on/off button.

I wasn't aware of the two push button thing with my wifes 128I Conv. She would park it in the garage and sometimes not lock the door which would leave the accessories on (we have comfort access). We also had a passenger window fault that kept power in the accessory mode. Bottom line is we had to pay $425 for a new battery because of operator error (yes $425 for a BMW battery). NOW she locks the car when parking, problem solved.

How's a faulty control unit "an operator error"?
