There is no 'person detector' is there???? Are people saying the car is supposed to differentiate between "key inside car" and "key and person inside car"?
if people getting locked out have CONFIRMED that this feature is off, then there is a problem....

all I'm saying is that until she gets the dealer to look at why it's locking the car with the key still in it (or confirm there is no "key in car detector" functionality to begin with), just turn off that auto lock feature altogether, so she doesn't get her kid locked in the car again. That's all.
