I just bought a 2010 X5 35D CPO this past weekend with 36k miles on it. I've been looking for a few months and this one was the best deal I had seen in the area that met my criteria. I did have to drive 3 hours to the dealer, but it was worth the trip. The suggested retail on the X5 I got was $66,800 new, I even have the original window sticker showing this. The dealer showed me that they paid $38k at trade in, then performed the CPO inspection which included a new set of run flat tires. So they probably had an additional $3k in the car. Knowing that they had roughly $41k invested in the car, I managed to get it for just a little more than that.
There were a few more in the area in the same price range that weren't CPO, but all of them had fewer features.
I don't know what area you're in. Around here, I wasn't finding anything cheaper that had low mileage and was in excellent condition.
