If it makes you feel better I brought my X5 to the dealer to get my air suspension fixed and asked them to look for anything else wrong with the car before I traded it in and they gave me this quote.

Rear air shocks $1363

Air suspension pump faulty $2462

Valley pan leaking coolant $1084

Both upper timing case covers leaking oil $3082

Transfer case service (faults in system) $339
