Has anyone tried one of these to bring Bluetooth functionality up to date on their E70? Im thinking about buying one because I like to stream Pandora in my Mustang and would like to add that functionality to the X5.

Belkin is an authorized provider. Also get a tooth pick and dig out the dust and lint from the connector.
Also use compressed air can and "gently" blow out the iPhone connection. Lint and dust can cause problems.
It happened to us and we thought that because the iPhone said "phone accessory is not supported"
It was the cable but no just dust and lint. Also keep your phone updated.

OK I bit the bullet and decided to try this thing. I wanted wireless connectivity to my phone for music (iTunes or Pandora, etc.) It works like a charm with my iPhone 8+. I can control my music selection through the iDrive and the steering wheel controls work. Im happy.

You wouldn't happen to have a video of controlling the music through steering wheel and i-drive, would you? I'd like to see that in action.

I could make one. You can basically use the iDrive to sort the music by Artist, Genre, Album, etc. The steering control I believe "skips" to the next song and of course the volume control.

Are you on Android or iPhone? Looking at the product site I am wondering if it still works the same if you only have the USB and AUX plug in and not the "iPhone" kit on the car.
