I doubt I'd ever buy a brown car, but in real life there are some shades that do look pretty nice. Maybe this is the "launch" color, but they should have considered that it doesn't usually look good in photos. At least it's not a nasty gold/champagne/etc. color, like the used on the E93 launch photos. That color should be restricted to Buicks and other old-people cars!

That brown somewhat similar to brown in E70... And it looks horrible in person

Can BMW Individual stuff the new technology into the E53 body??? Essentially having an E70 or F15 but still looking like the E53???
Yeah, right... wishfull thinking...

the day I saw E53, like 10-15 years ago, I fell in love with it... the E39... still one of the best designed vehicles on the road... but Chris Bangle just bangled up the image... it was a downward spiraling since then....

Real Life Photo's-F15 X5

Here are various Real Life Shots of the new F15 X5. There is an M50d and M Sport Package in the set.The two side by side photo's: F15 vs E70 are the only two side by side photos on Planet Earth of the incoming F15 and the outgoing E70. Enjoy. Thanks PalBay

Well said. The E39 is one of my favourite cars of all time, along with the E31 (which I own ) and the E53. I love my E70, but not all E70's.

So far I like it, nice interior, more open. A bit funky but updated exterior.

But -- the drive will be the ultimate factor. The new 5 series steering wasn't good when I drove it and I drop the new X5 doesn't inherit that.

Also the new Acura MDX hits the showrooms in July. So the fun is about to begin in SUV/SAV land.

Will my E70 BMW bike rack, 19" rims(snow tires on) and BMW ski roof rack all fit this new one?

Thanks!

Blue LED lighting is a welcome change to the usual BMW red.
