I have about the same number of miles on mine and am very happy with it. My 69 year old parents rode in it all weekend and were extremely comfortable. My mother had to learn how to successfully enter the rear seat given her bad knees but had nothing but compliments afterwards. Both continually commented on the quiet ride, smoothness, and comfort. These are people who never spend more than $25k on a car and who liked our Audi A8 but said this had less noticeable "roll" for them as passengers. Of course, it might have just been my driving slower...

I find X6 easier to drive in stop and go traffic than the A8-something about throttle modulation maybe. It is a little heavy feeling at times but handles superbly for a car its size. Maybe because I still have the 335 coupe which has a firm ride but I find it to ride very smooth even with the 20"s and sport package.

Haven't got the full functionality of address book for Iphone with bluetooth yet but haven't completed the process with the dealer. Rear camera is barely adequate but is helpful for backing. Visibility is ok- if you like this car it is a reasonable trade-off. If you don't like this car, it might be unacceptable. BTW, auto folding mirrors are terrific as I could not fit it into garage without this feature-and I have a fair sized 3 car garage. Check your measurements.

Like most BMW's, the X6 seems to drive better the faster you go or the more you push it. Given that we are still in break in period, it should only get better. Mileage is 21 on the highway and 17 overall at the moment.

I still have to play with the seat to get maximum comfort but am thrilled that I did not get the X5. This is much more car-like in my opinion and more fun to drive. One negative is that everyone is staring at you. I've had people in turbo Carrera's pulling me over to get a better view and discuss it. Not really into the "look at me" thing.

If you get white note that the exhaust discolors the molding under the pipe. Looks like it will need to be cleaned like brake dust on wheels.

Good review. Staring is one thing but pulling over for a good look!

Cars.com's Mike Hanley takes a look at the BMW X6. It competes with the Infiniti FX and the Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

Was at a local dive bar grabbing a burger for lunch today and saw on the screen over the bar that ESPN was doing performance reviews of the X6. Sound was down, so I couldn't hear how their review went. But they were putting the X6 through its paces on a test course. Anyone DVR this or have a link to it?
