Seems to be some of the worst BMW reviews I have ever read...I guess I'll reserve my total judgement till the arrival of the X6 ///M.

LM, et al...thanks for the review links.

Like many of us here, I'm curious about the X6: would
like to drive one, (more than around the block), and I
look forward to C&D, R&T, et al, doing review(s).

I suspect however, that it will be more of the same:
very good handling, cool looking to some, a real niche car,
very heavy, (almost embarrasingly so), very expensive in loaded
versions, etc.

Honestly, I would not mind having one, but I'm am unable to rationalize
the price/cost and real world mpg of this new car. It does look good
to my eye, but not in the cards, for us.

I was surprised at Edmunds' review too, they love BMW's. Will have to test drive one to see whether the marginal performance gain is worth the nill utility compared to E70. Anyone else think the X6 would've been a stupendous hit with some kind of manual transmission?

I don't know about the manual, per the review information the three potential deal killers for me would be: terrible rearward visibility (safety issue), numb steering, and the unsettled transmission.
