attention NY, NJ, CT!!

for those who purchased their X6 in NY, Westcherster, NJ, or CT please tell us (me) what your best deal was....

was it invoice minus the $2500 Holiday credit?

or a little over invoice minus the credit??

What are people getting here?

I just submitted my options list to my local dealer and next week I will be negotiating the purchase price..

I am amred with invoice/wholesale numbers and will twist his arm until I am satisfied I have the best deal...

comments???

I just negotiated a deal on 2010 335XI with ~$500 over the invoice, and then additional $2500 credit. So it came out to be ~$2000 BELOW invoice at the end.

I say if you can get the price within $1000 over the invoice (before applying the holiday credit), consider it as a very good deal. YMMV if you are in NYC/Brooklyn/Queens - there is less competition. Here in NJ I have 4 BMW dealerships within 30 min drive from my house, so I shopped around and put them against each other on both of the price of new car and the trade-in. However, remember that you can always sell your trade-in privately, so make sure the deal is right on the new car's price.

Keep in mind that you still need to pay your local sales tax on $2500, so dont get surprised

I am looking to get an X6. Dealer wants $1,500 over, less the credit...but pulled the whole - if you do not take delivery, he will pull the credit. I pushed back and he said they might be able to keep it in the deal.

I am offering him invoice - maybe $500 over if I really want the car. Then using MSD's to get the payment down further.

Good luck!

Thanks guys....

I just shot my dealer an email with my X6 configuration requirements and an offer of $500 over invoice, minus the extra $2500 holiday credit...

that brings it to $2000 under invoice...

current fnance rate is at 4.9%...

we'll see what happens over the next few days..

True story. This guy lives a lavish life. He even paid for the entire Tri-State lunch we had a few months back.

Easy big fella ...most reimbursed me for their portions...and as for a lavish life...far from it. I'm just happy to pay my bills (and her's) each month and be fortunate enough to drive a BMW.
