Yeah - its no worse than most other cars when on the move - the size of the mirrors helps a lot for blindspots and if you are not sure you can always just look over your shoulder.
In the X6 the backup camera is definatly a must for tight parking lots though - there is no way of knowing what is behind you otherwise.
As far as loading the trunk - its all relative - because there is no split folding hatch it is less of a reach, but because of the height of the trunk a short person (like my wife) still have a hard time reaching the far back. The real issue though is definatly the painted bumper - we keep a blanket in the car to cover it if we need to load big things.
