I had V600 paired to my X5. I got a V3 recently and tried pairing per instructions today. I add the passkey and it saves on phone. After this I see seeking device and after a minute it shows "Unable to connect". One the X5 when I hit telephone on Menu I see "Phone Connected ?" On the V3 I can see the X5 listed as BMWxxxxx under 'Device History' but not under Handsfree. Any ideas?
Do I have to delete pairing of the V600 before I pair V3? |

Which ULF do you have, the Visteon or the Motorola? I don't know that you can delete the pairing info on the Motorola module like you can with the Visteon module. I assume you followed these steps from your earlier post - http://www.xoutpost.com/showpost.php?p=12548&postcount=3

Also does this mean that you can only have one phone paired with the car at a given time? Or is it attached to the key-profile so if my wife uses her key she uses her phone and it pairs and works, but if you use only one key only one phone pairs. |

The phone configuration / pairing is independent from the key profile and should have no bearing on this. I assume the V600 is still working fine, correct? If so, I would suspect that there is either a problem with the V3's bluetooth configuration or even a problem with the phone itself. If possible, try getting your hands on another V3 and see if it experiences the same problem.

I will check the V600 now. Having the bluetooth power on really eats the battery quickly on V3.

Make sure you leave Bluetooth "ON" on your V3 so it doesn't connect/disconnect cycle.
I have paired two different Bluetooth phones on my BT/Assist module (Moto V710 and VZW Treo 650). No problems with either phone. Works as advertised. Quote:

This maybe a dumb thing to say but you do know that in pairing mode the phone wont connect and work I assume. You need to pair then turn off the car and ULF module and then turn on again.
Its just that you said you paired and then the phone seeks and tries to connect - it wont succeed when the ULF is in pairing mode which is only exited when you turn off and back on again. Seedar. |

I just paired both my V635 and V3 yesterday to my '05 X5 so it does work.

I added 4 more phones to get the V3 cleared form memory(FIFO). Then started fresh and this time around it worked but loading the phonebook took good 15 minutes for only 3 entries in there.
