Cool More Bluetooth...

I just got a 05 4.8is. The dealer didn't have the BT passkey so I had to dig around by the spare to find it. (Thanks to this site I was able to locate exactly where I could find it, btw) I then attempted to pair my phone. I have a Treo 700w, Verizon, with the Windows OS. It transfered only two contacts, my voicemail and my mother's number. Joy. I have searched and searched x5world and a few other sites for info on how to transfer all my contacts. I made the ones I use the most all speed dials, but that didn't do anything. Also, I don't think the phone is staying paired. It is a -114 TCU (at least, I think it's a TCU, still kinda confused with the whole TCU/ULF stuff). Along with that, I was trying to determine if this also had voice commands for the navigation system. I thought I would have to buy another module for that according to the post about the voice recognition module, but the dealer said that I shouldn't. Couldn't really find a straight answer on that either. But despite all my confusion, this site has already been a tremendous help. I did manage to update the OS for the navigation, so I suppose that is a plus. Thanks!

Easy test for the voice commands is to push and hold the face button till the system beeps. Say "Dial Phone" and see what happens. If you hear a voice say "Please speak the number" you'll know you have voice commands. Follow the instructions in the manual found on the front page of X5world website. It works well.

A friend has the same issue you report with his Windows Mobile 5 PDA phone (Verizon XV6700) not transferring all of his contact list. It only transferred the first ten contacts. I'll have him check out this jetware. That might be an answer for him.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the replies! I downloaded the jetware and so far it seems to have fixed the problem. My phonebook was downloaded to the car and I was able to make and receive calls. Thanks again!

I think I may have spoke too soon. After I finally got it to work and I went back to the vehicle a few hours later the phone once again will not pair or transfer the phone book. It seems that if I delete the BT partnership from the phone then turn on the car, my phone says that the vehicle wants to connect with it, I say yes, then re-enter the 4 digit key it will pair and transfer the phonebook again. I shouldn't have to do that every time I get in the car, should I? Any ideas about this? Thanks again!
