Activating phone
Should I assume that this means that I need to take it to the dealer to have it recoded, and to have the phone functionality activated?? Thanks in advance, Greg |

i would guess you do have to get it recoded, the dealer told me that mine (2002 x5) would have to get coded if i put the bt module.

On my 2005, "activate phone" meant to pair it via Bluetooth. There was a 4 digit passkey that had to be punched in to make them connect. Did you not get a small slip of paper that has that number listed?

It keeps telling me now to "turn on the phone" when I try to pair. So I'm sure the car's computer does NOT have the phone activated. Looks like a trip to the dealer is in order.

you need to do a bluetooth device search with your phone (V3 I assume). Then enter the ULF passkey into you phone when they ask for pairing code. Call me on the cell if you need help..
