I have the i870 and it does work with the X5 the only thing is it doesn"t load the phonebook. As far as connecting to the X5's BT yes it does and it does it either automatically when you start the vehicle or it can ask you if it's alright to connect.

From what I have read nothing is disabled on this phone. Have you spoken to Nextel about the phonebook issue? BTW What year X5 do you have?

Does it give you the option to send the phonebook info manually from the phone to car?

Sorry to dredge up old posts, but I have a question. Now that people have had a bit longer to use the Nextel i870, what are the opinions? How is it working in combo with the X5 Bluetooth? I am considering a change to Nextel.
