Tom,

I received trunk kit today. Same problem like somebody had (never posted solution) before.

I didn't have CD Changer installed. I found cables, connected DICE. removed fuses 72, 74 and 75. Where is fuse 7?

Connected them back, no power to IPOD, no CD Changer mode. Only CD or radio.

I have 2003 X5 with business CD.

Any advice?

Thanks!

P.S. I can try it in my 540 and see if unit works...

Check the 2amp fuse in the DICE harness to see if it has blown. If not, the fact you've verified no integration in 2 vehicles would lead me to believe the module is not functioning and needs to be replaced.

We'll back the DICE up every step of the way, keep me posted.

Tom,

Fuse looks good. I think unit is bad.

Just to summarise:

I did in following order:

1. removed fuses for radio
2. connected everything and iPod (iPod shut down)
3. put fuses back on.

All switches on DICE in original position. It looks like all OFF

I tried same with iPod ON and tried different things.

Let's get that module swapped out for you - please email me at [email protected] with your full name and I'll get started right away.

Got it working yesterday. Seems like module was bad.

Works as advertised

Comment on cyrillics:

order placed and kit shipped
cant wait to install it!

Tom one question, can I pause or stop the iPod through steering wheel or head unit? or do I have to stop it from the iPod itself? If the answer to the first question is yes then I will put the iPod in the trunk and no need to run the cable to the front!
