Yes, the radio interface kit can be used. Here's what you need:

DICE - SILVERLINE iPod Integration Kit for X3 04-08 (Radio Interface)

Hi.

I've been reading through the thread but failed to find the needed info.

Does this kit charge all of the verious ipod types.?

Or does this only work for specific types.?

Thanks.

Also, I have a 2001 x5 3.0 with nav and no sirius, are there a connection point under my consoll, or is it only the one in the trunk.?

The DICE kits will charge all iPods with a dock connector, including 3G iPhone and touch.

What about the location of the connection point.?

You will need a trunk interface kit, your CD Changer connections are in the cargo area on the left hand side.

Yeah. I have already ordered the kit. Its waiting for me at home.. Just saw someone mentioning a conection point under the consoll.

It might have been for the x3.

Thanks.

X3 would be underneath the center console, X5 is in the cargo area.
