OK gotcha. It is a shame to lose the digital audio and USB charging but there are bigger problems in this world lol.

Do you think DICE + video may be a viable product for you guys in the future?

DICE has no interest in video integration, only audio.

NOT WORKING

Silverline in '04 x5 Nav and CD. Fitted about 18 months , latley it has needed to be disconnected before the dice to get it to work . Now it doesnt show up at all , this has happened after it threw a tantrum and shut down the nav screen killing all aps inc the radio and strangely it also killed the dash direction indicator display (the exterior direction indicators still worked ). After disconnecting the dice at the cd cables all was well again , that is except i had no dice . On re- connection it still would not work --it doesn't show up when you press the mode switch.

Another question is that the ipod does not charge unless it is in the cd mode . Is there any way that the ipod can charge all the time that it is connected whether or not the radio is on.

Charging is set this way to prevent unnecessary drain on the battery when not in use.

Check to make sure there is power going to PIN2 of the 3-pin cable in the boot.

DICE

Everything works normal when i plug back in the CD changer .

I was thinking for the ipod charging that the charging circut could be connected to the ignition.

Hi Tom.

A question regarded a 1,5 year old silverline kit i bought.

I never got it to remember the showing of the mp3 info. If i go to cd5 and choose to display the info on the nav it does, but when i shut down the car, and return later, it is not showing anything anymore.

I have a 01 X with retrofitted oem 4:3 nav. I was thinking maybe the fact that it is retrofitted, this is causing the problem.. One of the wires going in to the dice unit is a constant power source i take it. Which one is this.? Maybe if it is not constant it could cause it.?

Thanks.

You should be using CD6/TRACK2, CD5is your source selector (iPod vs AUX)
