You can leave the iPod in the back if you wish - I would prefer having it up front for convienence issues.

Yes I would think you'd want the iPod up front, but that hot module, can it be tucked in the back or under a seat? TIA

Under a seat or I would prefer underneath the center console bin.

When installing the DICE unit do I need to disconnect the battery or pull an fuses? Of is it OK to just connect the 3 pin connector last?
If I can pull fuses instead of disconnecting the battery, which fuses do I pull?
