You can try reinitializing the system:

1. Disconnect iPod from cable
2. Remove battery cables, negative first
3. Touch battery cable terminals together (away from battery) for +5 seconds, a small spark is normal as this is stored power draining from the system.
4. Allow cables to remain disconnected for about 5-7 minutes
5. Reconnect battery cables onto battery, negative last.
6. Reboot iPod by pressing on MENU and CENTER buttons for +5 seconds and then reconnecting to the DICE cable after the reboot process is completed.

Let me know if these steps correct the problem, if not - we can make arrangements to have the module replaced if still under warranty.

We'll know as soon as our testers arrive from Apple in a couple of days before giving the green light.

Tried the troubleshooting as described but no luck. A couple questions though.

1. After reconnecting the battery am I to have the IPod in the Spec Dock before rebooting the IPod?
2. Which Dice cable are your referring to? The cable going to the Spec Doc or the six pin cable caoming from the back?

Still have no power or any kind of life from the Spec Doc, DICE module or the cabling from the back.

Any further advice?

Disconnect and set aside the Spec Dock to eliminate the possibility of other issues when troubleshooting. Have you checked the 2amp fuse on the DICE harness to see if it has blown?

Also verify the brown wire on the BMW 3-pin connector is in the #1 position and not the middle.

Thanks for the continuing assistance.

The 2 amp fuse is good and the brown wire is on the side of the three pin connector.

If I do not use the Spec doc I will not be able to hook the IPod to the DICE module. Is the an after market IPod connector I can purchase to hook up to the DICE module?

Please advise.
