How do you convert the tags to 1.1?

Here is what I found works for me

You must use ID3v1.1.

I used tagscan to convert them, links and details at bottom of that page

If you are using iTunes, highlight the track(s) you want to convert, click on the advanced menu, select convert ID3 tags and select the version you want.

I tried a new 1.1 tag disc yesterday, still no joy! I'll have to try something else.
