1st-hand experience: BSW Sub + NAV + DSP?

Got a question for likely 4.6/4.8 owners and others that have bought and installed BSW's custom X5 sub and enclosure:

How did you mount your amp?!

I've spoken with Jason at BSW about placing it where the CD-changer used to reside, but it's a tight fit at best. It pushes the carpeted cover panel outward with the amp alone (feet removed, of course) in position--and that's without the power/speaker/input wires in place.

That's not satisfactory to me, nor is an external mount that kills the whole stealth idea--the very reason I went this route in the first place.

So, my question to you, dear NAV + DSP havin,' X5 sub-installin' fiends is this... Where to you mount the damn amp?

A second, related question would be: do you know if the NAV will function if I change it from being horizontally mounted to vertical? It seems I could make better use of the space in that well if I removed the entire factory mounting bracket, and installed both amp and NAV/DVD controller vertically. Anyone? Bueller?

Thanks for the input. As always, photos much appreciated.

-Dave
