No I understand. I was just thinking that since I have a second video input on the VSM, I could always add a DVD player later. But was wondering how the audio portion would be integrated. Would that require running a line to the front and connecting into the Aux port on the back of the nav screen?

The connection can be picked up at either the tuner underneath the spare tire (easier) or behind the NAV screen, your choice.

hello Tom.

i am going to connet my dvd player to the OEM tv tuner soon. while it is very convinient that the video wire will run from left rear compartment (where the navi is) to the spare wheel well, i was a little uncomfortable with running the sound wires to the AUX input behind the OBC monitor.

you mentioned there is a choice - a easier option of connecting the sound to the tuner. do you mean stereo sound or mono sound?

You could use AUX and go directly to the tuner in the trunk, this depends on your model year.
