Headrest DVD Screens

I have just installed a DVD player with 2 TFT screens attached to the back headrests useing brackets not actully in the headrests - I did not have the guts to cut into the leather. They look great but I need to either hide or tidy the wires coming from each screen to the DVD Player. Any suggestions please....

Directed has one for the X5 as well, but theirs also has an IR transmitter for wireless headphones. The Vizualogic linked to does not have one in it, and I don't know if any other VZ models have that. But if you're looking for rear-seat use, you will want headphones, and you will want wireless, and all the RF headphones anyone can afford will suck sometimes due to RF interference, so IR is the method of choice for reliability and sound quality.

My store works with both of these brands so contact me if you have any questions: )

My Directed app guide says Black, Truffle Brown, Gray Dakota, Sand Beige, and Pastel Green.

The monitor case itself is a charcoal gray color.

I do not see 2005 X5 listed on your pdf.

I have a 2005 X5 and looking to get headrest monitors. How much does the HRK700 cost? If available for a '05 blk int.

I went to a local dealer and they called and this was ready for the X5 and gave me a total price of $1799.

Two things:

1) That style of DVD drive (Audiovox does something similar) traps a lot of hear inside the monitor.Ifyou have another way to go, I'd take it, because heat isthe enemy of electronics, and DVD laser pickups generate a LOT of hear over time.

2) It would be totally inappropriate of me to advertise Directed Video on the web. It would be totally inapproariate to tell you that I can easily beat by a couple hundred bucks the price you listed (if your price was for the HRK700 kit - that was retail.). It also would be totally inappropriate for me to sell them to any forum members. So whatever you do, don't contact me and try to buy any of these, please.

Hmmm I was just quoted $1820.74 for this setup:
HVM700 DEI headrest monitors $399.95 x 2
DV2605 DEI dvd/cd/mp3/tv tuner $239.95
WHS200 DEI 2 channel wireless $239.95
RFM100 DEI Modulator $69.95

Labor was $390.00

Seriously considering the Vizualogic system as it cuts down on the wires and no need for for 2 dvd players if you want to watch two different things on the monitors. Not sure about the heat issue though.
