IceLink on NAV screen
I just purchased the IceLink for my X5 with NAV and I'm having a little difficulty with displaying text on my NAV screen. I have sound (and sounds real good btw  ) but I can't seem to figure out how to get the song titles to show up on my LCD. I'm looking at on of the docs that came with my IceLink referrring to the firmware I currently have which is firmware v.2BB2. All my connections are snugly in place.. Anyone know what the deal is here?Thanks for your assistance!

What is displaying on the iPod? Do you have any controls at all? What happens when you press the "6" button on the radio/nav unit?

The ipod has the song title displayed on the screen. When I presss the #6 buttton it simply jumps into another play list I'm assuming
I'm soo close to getting this done it's not funny

Perhaps, but would would I do with the update files if I got them? I do have one thought.. Prior to purchasing the IckLink I was asked to do a series of steps to determine wheather or not I have DSP. After doing this it was brought to my attention that I in fact do not have DSP. However I have a DSP section in the sterio settings munu... I'm thinking that I'm missing some sort cable to allow text to be shown on the LCD because truly there isn't much involved if any to punching buttons on the head unit and getting this working.

Yeah I see what your saying. I got my IceLink from Tom, and he told me I had the latest and greatest firmware available. He most definitely knows his stuff so I'm certian it's something I'm doing incorrectly on my end. I'm looking on DensionUSA's website and I don't see my firmware version listed. I'll keep looking.
Oh Yeah, I'm looking at the owners manual and it keeps refering to iPod play lists. Is it required to have your music cataloged in a play list in order to have text picked up on the NAV? Thanks! Last edited by cwilliams21; 09-03-2005 at 10:03 AM.
