Intravee and KCA 420 Issue/problem...help wanted.

HI

have a problem/issue

I have installed following items in my BMW M5-2003

Intravee II
Apine KCA420
Ipod classic 120gb
Apple Ipod dock universal /vehicledock/
Tv free cable with video overlay funktion

If i connect the Alpine 420 direct to the Ipod then my mp3:s are showning in my 16:9 and everthing is OK

But when i connect the KCA to the ipod vehicle dock and then place the Ipod into the dock then the navscreen says NO IPOD!!!

I have the vehicle dock for showing video files such as musicvideos and movies

I also have the S-video cable that are connected to the tv module in pins 6 and 15...that is correct because my friend in sweden also have all
this items and for him it works to play mp3 and video when his ipod is in the apple ipod dock.....

Perhaps it must be activated somehow ??i dont know?

So now i can only play mp3:s when the ipod is conneced to the KCA

when i connect the vehicleipod dock to the kca420 it shows NO IPOD!!!

What´s wrong??

My Nav software is S W 4-1/00
and intravee :F/W Ver 5.31 Build:30

Have sent mail to the support and i´m still waiting for their answer..!!!

My guess would be that your 'vehicle dock' is not fully wired, or it's faulty.

Specifically it's missing the accessory power connector that the KCA-420i uses to detect the iPod.

Could you give some more information about the dock you are using.
