Got good deal on PA-12. I'd it doesn't work plan b will be to add two amps.

Anybody able to confirm specs on stock speakers? I've heard they are 2 ohm?

And what do you mean the Bluetooth is crap? The phone, the interface, the audio sq?

Eventually, I will probably ad an aftermarket amp. My main reason for asking the question is that I already have the adapter, and was wondering if I could just swap the head unit for now with what I already have.

The sound, you can hear people talking to you, but it sounds as if your talking in a tin can on the receiving end. We have had customers bring back the unit and replace it with an Excelon or Alpine unit just for that reason. If you dont plan on making any BT calls on it your probably going to be fine, I would look into the 719 tho, bigger screen, has a couple more features, BT is still crap tho. The lower end Kenwood video peices use an off brand BT chip where as the upper end, and excelon peices use a parrot chip, it makes all the difference in the world.

So its the microphone, input side.

yes, BT music streaming was fine, are you using android? as you can install the IPOD cable and get better sound, or run a mini cable to the headphone jack on the front, that also gives you better sound then streaming.

Android. Or else i would have just used the PA-12. Wife isn't as interested in sq as I would be. Picked up a factory refurbished 419 for $250 shipped.

Played around with the PA-12 I got in the mail today.

Had a hell of a time getting it to work until i unplugged the stock iPod setup from behind the MID. Once I figured that out it is perfect.

First I had a 1/8" mini jack to RCA converter pumping out music from my phone and the sound quality sucked...

After I pulled out an old pioneer deck and an extra battery and used some RCA's to that it worked really well. Perfect sound quality. Can't wait for the head unit to get here. Just need to run a set of RCA's from the HU to the rear quarter door and then stash the MID and CD. I've got pictures but don't have time. Wife needs some quality time.

I think I almost had her there. Then, when we returned from picking up the kids this afternoon, her SAAB 9-7x was sitting in the garage with Jane rear end dragging the ground. Now it looks like I may have some repair costs on her air ride.
