thanks for that never burned a disk in my life so will need to buy some cd's tomorrow. don't even know if it will allow me to burn using my Laptop.

I've downloaded the alcohol 120% and the files. However when I pick the v26-09a then click next it comes up with this message:

Because an unsupported image fiel format is being used,you should manually set the track format,block size and other information. You MUST do this to record the image file!

NOTE: The unsupported image file will be burned/emulated as a ONE-track_only disc. If this image file contains multi-track data,the burned/emulated disc will not be recorded the same as the original disc.

What should I do next???? HELP!!!

check this out nav_gd.tio

If someone wants to try and enable OFF-road Guidence, I think this is where they should start

[OffroadGuidance]
OffroadGuidanceMode=1
OffroadGuidanceVoiceMessageMode=1

For anyone who wants to get the BMW Logo back here's the instructions...

1. Set the Map view to Perspective as available from loading v26.09A
2. Reload v26 NavOS
3. After system reboots you get back the BMW Logo and version reverts back to v26 on settings menu.

Downside to doing this...
- Perspective option is no longer available from Map view options, so to keep perspective view never change it again... unless a better solution is available
- in any case a different Map view is selected just reload v26.09A to get the Perspective view back.

I think those are already ON. But looks like this thing may have a debug-mode, inside the nav_dg.tio is DevelopmentMode=0 . I just wonder what happens when that is changed to 1? There are many interesting texts inside bsw_tools like: Toggle streetname, Toggle icon mode, Voice test, Update rate, OFFROAD SETTINGS etc. But who knows if those work/appear on-screen or just via some debug port...

Guys-I know should know this but is only one file in the download burned with Alcohol 120% and is it necessary to rename file? Lastly when I burned v26 months ago used trial of Alcohol then. Now is required to purchase. Does anyone know price?

Thanks for helping computer challenged!

Hi! Thanx a lot for making this update available! My Cooper S works fine with the update with one exception: my phone menu item does not respond any longer... steering wheel controls do still work...

There are 3 files in the zip folder. One is just a readme file from your friends here at X5world. One is a control file used by Alcohol 120%. And one is the ISO image file. Alcohol 120 will know what to do with these, you don't have to worry about it.

If you go to http://shop.alcohol-soft.com/en/purchase_120.php you will see the purchase price for this software is 42.51 Euros (about $50).

Also, hows the re-coding coming Technic ?
I just came back from the dealer recoding successfully -so far- the Nav back to USA mode:

Emergency is back in the Telephone menu:

This TMC menu is still present in the USA mode:

So far, so good...

Good stuff Technic! Is the emergency menu also on the main menu screen, and does it take you to the Emergency sub menu screen ?

Also, how do you get to that TMC sub-menu ... not seen that before.
