The nav booted, showed the custom logo and hung again.
I pulled the fuse again and then it started correctly.
I'll watch that issue and maybe go back to V26 with perspective patch.

I had a similar problem when I used a DVD-R copy of a map disc in my MKIV. It sould occasionally complain that the drive is empty when the disc is in fact in it, and after a few weeks srated locking up as you describe. I went back to the original and no problem since, so I am skeptical to try the 26.09.

@2Wires: Got the same prob with my Cooper S plus missing some options (telephone). So I returned to V26.

@all: Has anybody got an idea why I can't find the MINI-Bootlogo in a V26 navboot-file with gifextractor?

Hi there,

Any hints why I can not change to the enclosed file? I think everyting is fine, resolution, size, 8bit... When I try to change the file in the navboot the bootsceen just disapears from the list...

It is a .NET problem.
I cannot display the image though it should be imported properly.
I didn't figure out why it cannot display this. I have to check MS tech sites to a solution perhaps.

Tino

Edit: It's solved. Download the newest version and check "Read "complicated" gifs" before clicking "extract".
I wouldn't use the option if not neccessary.

Here are the working ones with links to GIF in Navboot

THIS IS MY CURRENT SCREEN... my interior trim is Titanium

Now to create the image:
1. Start UltraISO (you will see window split into four sections)
2. Goto File->Open (locate the Navigation CD image of S/W) or Open CD/DVD
3. Once CD is loaded into "Image" window navigate to \V_2\RR\0101\BMWC01S\app_sw\
4. Now goto Actions->Add Files and locate the downloaded modified "navboot"
5. You will be prompted to verify replacement. Select "yes"
6. Goto File->Save
8. Burn, install, Enjoy!

Figure out Font type for BMW type designation

Hello guys,

its just a unbelievable work that was done here.
Right now I've installed the upgraded version with splashscreen customized by RichardP1. It works in my '02 E39 since Tuesday just fine - no problem at all. So, there is no reason for me at the moment to install the hacked version of the V26.

Yesterday I tryed the 1. time to create my own splash
and had this outcome.

But I'm not satisfied with the result - It would be much better, if the type designation "530i" can be inserted as true type font rather then as picture.

Is there any body out there who knows with font type has to be applyed for BMW type designation?

Kindest regards,
Matthias
