Magic ISO works perfect to burn the image. Will test it in the car later tonight

Well I realised that since it was a ISO file that it must be possible to use the software u suggested.

Cool

Hello,

Hope that doing the upgrade from V27 to V27.1 it will delete my ..:.. arrival time "trick"
My Nav says:
Ok you start your trip but you'll never arrive...sort of "lost in translation"!!

anyway I'll tell you!

Cool

Didn't want to upgrade to V27,1...
When I put the CD it said: system up to date... please remove CD and OK...
so I'm still onV27...

Hello everyone

This seems to be the largest V.27.1 thread on the net! Hopefully, someone here is savy and willing to help despite I do not own a BMW X-type

My 07/01 E46 is running a MkIII navigation system with a MkIIIm Display (monochrome, radio-navigation). Current software version 3-2-30.

Can I use the V27.1 CD to update the system, even if it is not capable of splitscreen modus?

Your advice is highly appreciated!

Dankeschön from Germany,

MrPutty

Each Nav Software disk contains the latest version for all current and previous Nav systems. If the software has not changed for a particular system, the old version is still included on the disk.

So you should be able to use the V27.1 disk to update any system to the latest software.

Thank you for your response. It's an internal PDF from the "BMW Technial Services" that has me worried.

Here's an excerpt from the file:

Quote:

SITUATION

With the introduction of navigation system operating software V27, there are currently 2 valid versions of navigation software.

Navigation system operating software V17.1 is used on MK III systems 1. without "Split Screen".

Navigation system operating software V27 is used on MK I, MK II, all other MK III navigation systems, MK IV DVD navigation systems on I-Bus vehicles, NAVI01, NAVI02 and NAVI03.
For this reason I'm worried if all will go well....

V17.1 is the old software that was used on the 4:3 monitor (the look is the same as the MK II), some people like this screen layout and so don't want to load the later versions with the new fonts, split screen capability etc. You should be fine with the Radio Nav system.
