That is the menu from your TV module. The TV module and the nav computer work in a master/slave arrangement in running the system. When the TV module detects the presence of a nav computer in the car, it goes into a passive mode. So, I suspect that your upgrade did not go well, and the navigation computer did not boot after the install. The TV module did not find it on the I-Bus, so it took over control of the A/V system.

Check your cables - I disconnected my Nav CD reader and got a similar menu. When I reconnected the Nav CD reader, everything was back to normal.

You could try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery too. If that does not work, try re-running the navigation OS upgrade.

Hmm, which upgrade though, an untouched v28 upgrade or a modified one?

First, I would disconnect the TV module and connect the blue plug directly to your nav computer. That will ensure that you are seeing only the nav during the upgrade. Since you have a Mono-coded unit, I would bounce back to an untouched V24, V25, or V26 version. That should officially load the monochrome OS. Then, try another upgrade with a V28 disk modified to load the color OS. Since your first attempt did not work, you may want to create a new modified V28 CD.
