Try purchasing a legal copy - I understand BMW dealers may sell them.

Hi,

I have the Australia v14 sensis files (for use on my tomtom). Any way of converting this to a carindb file so that I can use it on my BMW ('06 E60 525i)?

No. Massively different formats, and both are proprietary.

Hi All,

How do I find out what the actual release date will be for the new version?

I have an 05 X5, is there an easy way to tell what version I currently have?

Thanks

Open the back left hand side cover and eject the CD out of the NAV, on the CD there will be version number.

Cheers

Thanks Bourdo, so even though it says DVD on the disk player it will actually be a CD?

The DVD nav drive will read CDs and DVDs.

Australia is so small the map does not need to be on a DVD.

A CD, with 600MB storage space, is enough to hold the Australia map (around 120MB in size)

DVD is only necessary for large countries and continents where the total data size becomes greater than 600MB

But you can copy the map onto a DVD if you want...
