the message form the DVD reader is selfexplaining. There are errors in the Map CD/DVD..easy and simple...is this a copy or an OEM DVD...burn another one paying attention to the whole procedure. Differently it may be an old laser lens...

Well, this one time stealer's parts manager really impressed me. He exchanged the Professional series DVDs for High series and that too free. I came home, checked it out and it is working like a charm. The only thing is that there is no option for Red light cameras. My OS is v32 and maps are 2011. Could it be a Canada thing?

Well, I found an answer to my earlier question. The original version doesn't come with Red Light and speed camera alerts. These are available from the ones who sell copies....

I've gotta be missing something here... I've read this thread high and low and still can't get this to work...

I downloaded this link...
BMW Navigation OS - v32 (Night Mode, Camera Alerts, M Logo) from neiloakley.com.

There are 3 files in the folder: .bin, .cue, and .toc

I burned all three files to a cd on my mac at the slowest speed, followed all the installation instructions, and the car just wont read the disc. It says "inappropriate cd" I've gotta be doing something wrong.

All help appreciated.

****EDIT****** Got it all figured out, just had to use my 7 year old PC instead of my brand new mac haha. Downloaded imgburn and just opened the cue file with it and voila!

Now I just have to find the most recent map disc. 2011 High East Coast w/ Red Light Cameras/Speed Traps?

The only differences I see with this upgrade is that my M splash screen is a smaller image than before(the bigger one was better imo), and I have the "night mode" color scheme... I upgraded from SW81..Were there any other major differences I should have noticed?

Also, I'm still running the map disc from 07 or 08...

Because you are using a hacked OS, and not an original BMW issue, then the changes made to the OS are those that the hacker decided to make.

If he never documented the changes he made, how can we know what they are?

Ask the person that generated the hacked OS....

It was listed as the V32 upgrade, with the addition of Night Mode, M Splash, and Camera Alerts.

What are the upgrades I can expect to see from the previous version I was using, SW81?
