Hi!

I have a X5 from 2003 and today updated my MK4 from the original version to V27 and everything wnet smooth and is great - several improvements!

I dont want to upgrade further if nothing special, however I like having the most recent - therefore some questions:

1) Are there any big changes from V27 to V29.1?

2) I have read that V29.1 is the last upgrade for MK4 systems and that firmware versions after that want have any impact (even though you can use the updates) on a MK4 system - can someone confirm that? If not anyone who knows what change is from V29.1 to V32?

Thanks in advance!
E

Perspective mode was available from v27 onwards.

Changes from older versions are, better routing algorithms, bug fixes and driver updates.

Wauw - mine is not looking as cool as that!

Actually my view is more or less like the old 2D "bird view" regardless I choose to have Perspective On or Of!

Any other settings I should change to get Perspective On?

Perspective mode needs to be enabled in 2 places,

1: The hidden setup menu.

Go to the menu screen select set (or settings) and hold menu button for 10 seconds, when the hidden menu appears scroll down until the perspective mode option is selectable.

Here is a video I made of how to get into the service mode.

YouTube - Secret menu on e46 sat nav

2: In the arrow map pointing menu.

Select GPS-Navigation, then Map, then push right button, select Map Positioning and there select Perspective

Just wanted to let you know that it works excellent - thanks for the guide and pics. Now I will find a V32 and try to update to this to get the newest for MK4.
