I just contacted my dealership and they told me the only way for them to update the OS in my MK4 is if it is faulty and needs warranty work...Otherwise I need to spend $300 - $400 on labor plus the $200 for the new nav disc. Somehow this seems like robbery to me...

I just bought my X on Dec 23rd -- the dealer had it for 8 days to fix what the CPO inspector missed and now they want to charge me between $500 - $600 for and ungrade nav OS ??

Please let me know what needs to be done (if anything) as a DIY that isnt going to kill my warranty or pocketbook. I have read the threads on the site and unfortunately with a MAC computer, I am limited as to what I can burn, etc.

Any suggestions ?
