Correct, but you also need the url and idx (POI DB) (SE) files and their html lookup (tables) files.

?? you either use POISon or you use the "normal" POI selection process.

I would like not using POISoN.exe as this also patches the OS to have the sound notification. I only would like to have the speed cameras as permanent POIs...
Am I right or not???
Thank you.
If you only want the cameras on screen (permanently) then patch the navboot and don't edit the voice file.

Other than patching the OS, there is no way to have the cameras on screen permanently.

PMN = Only add POIs (any type, any quantity) to map disc

Poison = Add permenent POI with voice warning for Speed Cameras

2 x different tools for 2 x different purposes.

I added the speed cameras as military base to the map disc. But without patching the OS, it is not displayed on the MAP, because I cannot select military base in the NAV. There are many possibilities to select in the menu(Gas stations, restaurants, Police, museums, etc) but no military base. And except permantent POI Nav can display only one type of POI at a time. This type of POI has to be selected from the nav menu.

BTW what is the best method for patching OS?
1. Patch the navboot file and then add the custom splash screen, night mode, custom language (I' have hungarian instead of german)
2. Add custom things and finally patch the navboot file?

Do you know something about the reason of rebooting with the patched OS?
Thanks in advance

Correct, that's why nomad used the military base "poi" it's non selectable, for it to be displayed you must patch the navboot.

I find that option 2 is the best thing to do.

I always start each mod from a virgin navboot (OEM) and then mod with my modified colour and text modules, then replace the images with mine, that way I don't carry over errors.

The Nav only reboots if

1: the navboot file is to big (in KB).
2: the speed of the cd burn is to high.
3: the OS is corrupted.

It should not crash because of the patch, i have loaded my nav system approx 50-60 times when testing the patch and my nightmode colour scheme and not once did the system crash because of the patches to the OS or map disc.

E5M1R: I'm also positive that my MKIV system is rebooting because of TMC. I'm running a modded V31 and a modded map 2009-1. As soon as TMC is loaded.... the system reboots. No problem with TMC turned off... This probably needs looking into... In my country, TMC is crap, but I't might be very usefull abroad.

I reverted to V29 just to get rid of the voice-files, and then went directly to a mod V31.... I have gotten the speedcamera icons displayed correctly before, but no voice. I might have messed up..... this is why i did a V29 revert and back to modded V31. Hopefylly this will add voice too

For the maps, I tried to burn on a TDK DL, but the system takes forever to load and eventually fails - twice I've tried this. I burned with 1X speed.

I also removed unused language files and burned on a regular DVD.... this failed too.... I'll try to burn again.... I have a modded 2008-2 disk that works fine... Anyone know of a DVD DL-brand that works?

How do I clean the DVD-player?

Ok very clear. Does this mean that PIMP-MY-NAV can just add "simple" speed-cameras POIs to the DVD?

Thanks

Unfortunately no chance for my to change the professional DVD to needed high version but i managed to sell the wrong nav DVD at ebay and found the 2009-2 DVD high in www. I think i must not post any links here but everybody needing this dvd should try a search with piratebay for a torrent.
