Ok.

I want to add some speedcams to my navteq CD map. I added some fixed speedcams from poiplaza and sucessfully created an image and burned it with the slowest possible speed.
Sounds good.

The map works perfectly just like the POIs with a small exception of speedcams
Not so good.

When I open the military bases' directory it displays sth like "s343tva@sdd3d@rfhg" (not an exact quote) , a few chinese-like signs and an arrow. After clicking on it, navi wants to guide me to " s343tva@sdd3d@rfhg", but then just the map with my position appears. Any solutions ?
You should not need to select the speed cameras in this way, the POIson patch should auto enable the cameras directly.

Loading the cameras from the POI menu, is not necessary and as the cameras (loaded to the BD) only have long:lat (with not other info), then the info fields are filled with padding, ie chinese-like signs.

So you're saying that there's no need to open the poi menu. Then you just put your map into the unit and all the speedcams just show up ?

Got one more question 'bout your map, ccfj1 . When you open the speedcams directory in your POI nav system, do you have the same kind of padding ?

If the OS is patched and the Map had the cams loaded, then Yes.

Yes, its just random crap filled in, in a normal POI setup, the extra info is filled from the .idx/.url files, since we are only loading the long and lat, then no .idx/.url info gets loaded.

But don't use it to select them.

Hello, i am new at this forum and maby my question on this is allready asked.
Could the adding of sound to these pois as discribed here also be done when the MK4 is in dutch?
I have bought a X5 4.4 in germany and has the nav changed by someone in Holland. Its not possible now to see pois, could not find anything in the menu. maybe with a update including sound it could work????

like the forum, could help me to understand my Bimmer better.

Thanks, Roy (The Hague, Holland)

The POIsON modification works on all languages

1. It modifies the OS, which is language independent
2. You choose your desired warning per language - eg: the German warning can be different to English or Dutch. If you want, you can add the warning to only one language and leave the others without warnings, if so desired.

Hi guys,
I'm back after a few practical tests with poisoned maps as already written before.
Well this i s the result:
1 old 2009-1 poisoned with POIsON = WORKS GOOD
2 new 2009-2 poisoned with POIsON = DOES NOT WORK (DOES NOT SHOW SPEED CAMERAS BUT IT SHOWS POI LOADED AS MILITARY BASES)

Any suggestion????

No, Mine works, (2009-2), the tank icon is changed in the OS (navboot) so not sure why you would see that with a modded map disc.

It miust be one of 3 things.

1: navboot not patched
2: map disc not POIsoned.

3:The only other thing I can think of is, you have kept the "/TPD/NCCBEUFNM_EU_20090216/ITA" dir yes? if you delete this then the mk4 will use the built in icons from the carindb (not good) and not the navboot loaded camer (tank) icon.

Dearest CCFJ1,

despite the damn hot climate here in Rome, my brain still keeps working
(low speed BTW )...still fighting with POIs on HIGH-2 DVD. Here we are with facts...
I did several tests modding map (high 2009-2) with different procedures, STILL NO ICONs displayed... the strange thing is that with the same procedures I have icons displayed when modding HIGH 2009-1.
I see that there are differencies between 2009-1 and 2009-2, but still do not understand where the problem is.
The OS that I have is a V32 modded by myself just for night vision. I mean, I took an original copy of V32 and I modded colours nothing else. But again this OS is showing POIs with modded 2009-1 maps and not with 2009-2 maps...what should I do before trying woodoo??

Grazie mille
.

Me neither, I've POIson modded my 2009-2 disc in the exact same way as the dvd-2009-1, cd-2008 and cd-2009/2010 and all have been perfect. All work with the correct icon and audio alert.

You did patch it though yes?

Not sure,
1: do the camera.csv files have an error or something that stops them loading via poison.exe,
2; can you see the DB being loaded with the new locations, when you import,
3:the new db is being saved?
4:you are coping the new db back into the map image?

Not sure what else to suggest mate
