Is it possible for this mod to work on idrive professional nav systems to give voice alerts on approaching speed cams?

I finally took an image of DVD using Mac.

I have another issue. My DVD (data size 70mb only) do not have the same contents as I see in the attached pictures. I don't see any voice or bmw directories, even no navboot file or directory.

I have X5 e70 2009 with professional navigation.

The short answer is no, i-drive is a dealer only update.

then you are looking in the wrong file, and something is wrong there, 70Mb on a dvd??. did you download it? also like jackass above POISon does not work on the i-drive with a PRO map disc.

That what was strange for me, 70mb in a DVD. I did not download it, it is my original DVD from the dealor.

OK, that mean I cannot do any change in i-drive pro map disc??

Just noticed where you are from, maybe there are not a lot of roads, that would explain it.

No, you would need to go to the dealer, and I doubt that they will be able to enable anything TBH, most dealers are hopeless when you ask them something out of the ordinary.

The best you can do is a modded map disc that has extra POI's for the cameras, but no alerts.

Yes you are right, we don't have lot of roads cause small country

I found this website that explain how to do it for i-drive navigation maps
Adding Speed Camera POI to your BMW Professional NAV DVD

This could be helpfull.

I have mounted the image to Alcahol120 and I have successfuly updated the db files using POISon now I'm trying to copy the files back to the ISO and I get the following error: Cannot copy db_0:Files on this CD-Rom drive are read only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CD-ROM drive.

Please help!
