Loading the cameras from the POI menu, is not necessary and as the cameras (loaded to the BD) only have long:lat (with not other info), then the info fields are filled with padding, ie chinese-like signs.

So you're saying that there's no need to open the poi menu. Then you just put your map into the unit and all the speedcams just show up ?
Got one more question 'bout your map,
ccfj1 . When you open the speedcams directory in your POI nav system, do you have the same kind of padding ?
