OK, So these are set in the nav as the 1st,2nd and 3rd languages?

You only need it set on the 1st language, so the American language file (USA_F.csf) has the alert mod added?

What do you mean : "You have edited your country's language file yes?"
This is a question from me to you! it means have you done this? (yes or no).

If you have modded the usa_f.csf file, have you now made a new voices dir (0507) and put the modded file in there and hex edited all the files required for the voice dir upgrade? (yes or no?).

Did you see on the nav screen when updating, "Loading new languages, USA" (yes or no?)

Hi Guys,

sorry, i don't know if the following problem was already discused but i don't want to read 39 pages:
I think i found a bug in POIson!! Everybody knows the function that the MK4 displays the POI Icon of the former selected category on the nav card. These Icons will also be available when the MK4 shuts down and comes up again when you open the car. BUT: With POIson: The selected POI Catergory/Icon is deleted everytime the MK4 shuts down...

This is not a bug and is explained in page #1, post #1 my friend.

For the auto loading function to work the POISon hack must flush the current loaded POI (yes even itself) and load the "military bases" as the primary POI, this is so the correct POI database (carinDB) is loaded for the correct alert.

You can also have 2nd POI loaded, and like above this must be flushed when started so that the 1st POI works.

Nomad is looking at this and hopefully he can sort it out so that the primary and secondary are reloaded (not flushed) at startup.

Hi
It's my first post on this forum. I've bought lately X3 (E83) with NAVI PRO, and like so many of you I wish to upgrade this system. I'm working on it just for a week and I'm still in programming mode but after reading previous posts and other threads on this forum it's seems to be not very complicated. The biggest problem was to find correct GTK+ library, I tried 7 different versions (!) and none of them works satisfactory with both navtweak/speak and Poison, what confirmed yours problems with crashing navtweak. I got slightly pissed and begun to make some experiments, so what it came: the mix of newest (?) library 2.16.6 and older one 2.8.18 did a trick. I can use now any navtweak 2.6 or 2.7, also Poison and make a lot of navboot changes, save it, or not when using some other applications in meantime, even forgot about it for all day and it didn't crashed even once (XPpro_SP3 by the way). My car is quite new, so question is how BMW company reacts to "upgraded" software? I don't want to loose guarantee, do I have to put original soft when I have to go for any service? Any experience in this subject? Is it possible to download OEM soft from car? . Because I had no luck to find OEM soft so I used poisoned one with patched navboot, just for practising. But it's a pity there is no OS9000 emulator for testing what I've done, I've also read post where somebody claims that NAVI starts when door is open. I have to turn on ignition key, but this creates me another idea to put more life in navi. Is it possible to make navi "talk" during startup. It would be cool to hear something like "welcome on board pal” or whatever "take off your paint ladies ...w’re starting our ride" Any toy running simplest OS can do it, why not NAVI?
Best regards for everybody.

To put new POI to DVD_HIGH map, first I'm changing format using asc2mk4_high. Is it a way back to convert (or edit) existing POI in IDX/URL files?
