sorry to resurrect the thread but needed some help. I have managed to screw up my update as well and now cannot get the CD out. I've tried removing the blue plug and immediately pushing the eject button numerous times without any success at all. Is there any other tricks to remove the cd?

thanks,
Bill

disregard I managed to read some more and found out by holding the eject button in for more than 90 secs it resets and then I could eject the cd.

Bumping this again rather than making a new thread.

I have a bricked MKIII

Blank Screen

I got the burned v32 CD stuck. I pulled the nav, unscrewed the motor, turned the gear and got it out.. Wasn't really that bad at all.

I burned a v24 and a v18 in Mode2/Form1. I can put either one in and it will let me eject the cd, but it doesn't seem to load from it.

I got the Official v32 CD from Tisher today, I put it in, same thing it spins for a few seconds, then quits.

So what is the correct "order". Roll down the driver's window. Take the key out, pop the trunk, put the cd, turn the key to position 1?

Open the front door, pop the trunk, put the cd in, turn the key to position 1?

Something else?

I think my best bet is to try the v18 cd first, right? Because v21 and higher will all appear the same and it won't try to load.

If that doesn't work, I have the BMW Scanner tool, I see see if there is something in there to try to reset it to load from CD. Otherwise, INPA would do it, right?

Is is possible it is just bricked though? rather than spending time and money I should maybe just get an MKIV

Thanks
Scott
