When the car is off, you can press the clock button and the time and date will be displayed on the monitor. I'm glad you got the info and select button to work. i'll try doing this to!

This only works with the new generation radio module.
For some reason I keep trying to copy the file to CD and it comes up as an audio file. I'm using Alcohal 120%. I downloaded v24 from here. any ideas?

I had the same problem with a file once.

Get UltraISO. Open the file, then save it as an ISO file.

Open Alcohol 120 and then burn the ISO file.

There may be other ways...but thats what I did!

Good Luck

i have just made my info and select buttons work! you need to use v21 and turn the radio on and off as the satnav re-boots after the ok screen then do the same for a higher version(well it worked with my mk4 dvd drive and 16:9 screen in a rover 75!)it may be that the programming is in this version and not others afterwards!

Question Info and select buttons - working and question!

EDIT NOTE: My nav system was already in Euro mode (no accept screen, yards instead of feet....) so, going back to V20 & then to V26 again wasn't an issue for me. Just be aware that going backwards, then back up again does put you in Euro mode.
Just went through the same process with mine today (v21 to v28 on a MKIV) and regained my info and select buttons with no problems, due to all of the info on this board - Thanks, ALL!

A question, though... when I select Info, I get 2 options - TP (What is this?!) and RTS (doesn't seem to give any other menu for selection as stated in the manual). When I select either one of them, the radio toggles to the Weather Band and back to the radio - that's it! Is this the normal operation for this? (I somehow doubt it!) How is this supposed to function?

Good for you! My understanding of RTS is, it will show Artist & song on some FM stations (the ones that transmit the info - not all or even most do, though). A couple of the ones I listen in my area do.

Smile tp and rds

The tp (traffic program) system in England switches the radio to any local station giving traffic reports whatever you are listening to cd, tape or another radio channel then it reverts back afterwards, the rds system (radio data system) posts in the display the radio stations identity and other info, it is also able to switch the radio to the strongest fm signal of a given station automatically. But you all know this anyway sorry to be a bore!

Thumbs up Is there any selection choice beyond the RDS that I'm not seeing?

Thanks for the info!

When I select RDS, It just goes to the weather band. Wonder if the RDS protocol is different in Europe...

It all makes sense now as with the downgrade/upgrade process I kicked into Euro mode from the US mode - looks like a trip to the dealer to get recoded for me...
