haha I lost 100lbs on weight watchers, I used to ONLY eat normal american crap food, but I taught myself to light healthy food and now its what I prefer

Eat right is important, try to eat smart so iIcan have a nice big steak now then. I will not order french fry's but will steal a few from my friends plate. I eat bacon twice a year, taste good but really bad for you.

Wonder how many members know what broccoli rob is?

Does the stuff they have at the local Japanese restaurants count as real Japanese food - you know, the places where the cooks cook right at your table with 6 other people you don't know? I'm talking about the fillet, chicken, and shrimp. I forget what the actually call it on the menu. That stuff doesn't seem to have too much fat on it, I think they cook it in soybean oil. I really enjoy those dishes, regardless of their authenticity... Actually, given how much I like this stuff, I'm sure it must be bad for me...

Although, I did have baked haddock with my kids last night - that's a huge step in the right direction for me - even though I dipped each fork-full in drawn butter. At least it wasn't a piece of fatty steak I was dipping...

Dang Jay! I love all that stuff too. I think butter is good on anything. You could cover dirt in butter and it'd probably taste pretty good. Good for you for recognizing the need to eat healthier. The key is moderation. Never totally deprive yourself but never overindulge either.

My wife is very health conscious and it has been good for me. We're forever reading the ingredients on food packaging and trying to avoid too many artificial ingredients and hydrogenated fats. There's a bunch of other no-no stuff but I let the wife take care of that. ;)

Yup - buttered dirt - I'd certainly consider it!

My belly is not that big and I do try to eat right, thanks to my wife!

I don't know what broccoli rob is but I do know what broccoli rabe is - and I love it! Ever have a broccoli rabe calzone Laura? - A little coarse black pepper and romano chese on top... - yum!
