All things Apple iPhone
1 Attachment(s)
So who is seriously considering purchasing this phone when it is released next Friday, June 29th at 6:00p.m.? Let's start a list of who is considering it:
1. SuperGreg 2. LeMansX5 3. TQ2K 4. canamx5 5. imola4.8isWA 6. Eric5273 7. Ed Garces 8. cue03 I am definitely sold on the phone itself, especially since I recently bought a Macbook, and this phone and it's operating system (OS X) is a natural extension of it. Everything about this phone will feel and look familiar if you currently have a Mac. The missing link for me, and everyone else, is AT&T's pricing plan for this phone. Here are a few misc. links for additional information: Apple's web site: LINK AT&T's web site: LINK iPhone Central Blog (MacWorld/RSS feed for the latest breaking news): LINK iPhone Atlas Blog/RSS feed: LINK MacWorld iPhone Forum: LINK MacRumors iPhone Forum: LINK |
Is there a group buy discount?

I'm seriously considering it but would like to wait a year to avoid the issues that come with a newly released product.

I'm very much sold on the iPhone.. I'm in love with every Apple product I've used, and the phone looks amazing. However, I think I will wait a year or so, like TQ2K. There are bound to be issues, because it is such a complex machine, and I'm sure the price will drop. I DO kind of need a new phone, though. My POS Samsung is on the way out..

There are alot of pda's out that are far more capable than the iphone. The only thing with this one is that it looks cool and has the Apple branding to push it.

+1 I'll be getting one the first week. (if available)

I am considering but at this point I am leaning towards waiting on the next generation.

Maybe....But that depends on what your needs are. From my vantage point many PDA's have a lot of extra add ons that most people never use. The key may be having the correct balance of what is really needed and what will be used.
My 700P does a great job but the iPhone has more of what i need based on a much easier platform. Looking cool is just an additional benifit and that of course is a selling point. But every MFG of phones/Pda's are riding the look cool thing. My beef has always been .......OK great looking phone but how easy is it to use? IMHO the ease of use factor may be a very important to a lot of people. Be that as it may there is still about a year left on my contract and to me that will be the right time to make the switch. Quote:
