There's no way I could know what's in store for sure but all I can do is give 110% and hope for the best. Maybe being away from the big city and all it's influences will be an advantage for us. I too have read the failure along with the success stories. The current divorce rate is 50% so it's not like the odds in America are good anyway. We'll do our best.

I wish you luck too! But be very, very, VERY carefull. They like everything till they come here. Once you bring her over that's where the real life begins. Do NOT send any money through Western Union or other money transfer services where you are not insured. To get a visa from Russia to US is very hard especially 1) if she has no relatives here, 2) if she is single in Russia with nothing left behind, 3) if she has never been in USA before. Again once she starts asking you to send her money for documents, more money for something else that's where you have to think twice. I hope she is not a scam artist and is a good woman, which is very hard to find these days in Russia.

When I lived in Russia I didn't have any desire to go online and look for American-mail-order-brides :nanana:

She has spent her own money to get her birth certificate translated along with having to get pictures, police checks and other documents to send to me for me to file her visa application. She has spent over $100 of her own money just to send documents to me through DHL. She has a great job and makes good money so her motivation is not to come here to rip me off. I have met her in person and yes it is always a bad idea to send money to a girl. This will be one of the happy ending stories vs. the scam or leave the husband stories I'm sure.
