I wish you all the best, and I can confirm that what she says about Russian women I have personally observed in many cities there, especially Moscow. I did, however, sense much more independence in the women there than her letter to you would suggest, but that could just be the nature of the people I dealt with...

Moscow is one of the most beautiful cities I have had the chance to visit -- I hope you took some time to really see the real Moscow and not just the "tourist" sites...

1st) wishing you all the best luck and all the happiness you deserve
2nd) 'the girl next door' is almost impossible to find anymore. How many of us actually work near where we grew up? How many of you actually interact with your neighbors (talking about singles here, not families as kids are usually the path to knowing your neighbors). Now eliminate the bar scene because you don't drink beer. Church is also a "foreign enviornment" as last Sunday's comics said, "Mommy, is church open all year? Yes. Then how come we only go twice a year?"
3rd) The work place is also not what it used to be. Nonfraternization policies, more smaller businesses, almost all female or all male workers in many instances.
4th) The internet has become the window to the world. Individually we all want the same thing, to lead a good life, a happy life. Through the internet, our "next door neighbor" can now be anywhere in the world.

Yep, that's her name for short. We just spent a week together in Kiev and had a wonderful time!!! I'm on my way home now & stuck in Detroit due to freezing drizzle in Duluth MN my home airport. Then tomorrow I have to fly to San Antonio for the week for work. I flew from Spain to Kiev and Iberia Airlines lost my luggage and just located it today, a week later! I spent a week with Anastasia with no luggage and that kinda sucked. Other than that it was great and we are getting to know each other very well. I'll be going back to Moscow at the end of this month and we're just waiting for the fiance visa application to be processed.
