Last night at my clubs 3 hours members sale...PACKED. Sold out of .45 ACP ammo :)

It is a LOCK DEMS will levy HUGE taxes on ammunition and guns in general....not to deter gun owners, simply to rape them.

I am planning to get my concealed carry permit this weekend, finally. Doesn't really have anything to do with the election, though. It's just something I've been wanting do, but haven't had time to do.

One expert sees a darker motive driving some post-election gun purchasers.

“Why are white people buying assault weapons?” said Ben Agger, a sociology professor at the University of Texas at Arlington who wrote a book about the Virginia Tech slayings. “I almost hate to say it, but there is a deep-seated fear of the armed black man, because Obama now commands the military and other instruments of the justice system. They are afraid Obama will exact retribution for the very deep-seated legacy of slavery.”

What a clown. Just another anonymous person saying something outrageous to get their minute in the sun.

If I was Pete Sampras, I'd demand to be removed from his list.

Besides, does anyone really think that they and a few buddies armed with automatic weapons could hold out against the best equipped and best trained military in the world?

The term "assault weapon" SHOULD indicate automatic weapons. Unfortunately, the term has been incorrectly used for so long that the meaning is now morphed. It is actually very difficult to get automatic rifles in the USA, and if you do, expect to pay around $10,000 or more for each. I am sure the article is referring to standard semi-auto AR-15's, AK-47's and other such guns that look "evil", but are not different functionally from standard hunting rifles.

Maybe if all "assault rifles" looked like this anti-gunners might not be so afraid of them. :tsk:

Dunno all the "answer(s)"/reasons, but maybe this has something to do with it:

The Second Amendment, as passed by the House and Senate and later ratified by the States, reads:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep
and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The hand-written copy of the Bill of Rights which hangs in the National Archives had slightly different
capitalization and punctuation inserted by William Lambert, the scribe who prepared it. This copy reads:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep
and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
