I think the consumption of oil results in revenue going to a number countries that are bad and allows them to fund terrorism and weapon development.

So the concept of green energy is good for the environment and good for the country.

As a citizen of your largest and most significant foreign oil supplier I resent the fact that you are indirectly accusing Canada of funding terrorism and weapons development :nanana:

I agree with your second point. Green initiatives need to be seen as business opportunities, not as repressive socialist agendas. Just ask all the people selling CF lightbulbs, solar cells, and Prius cars.

I only wish Canada had more oil, but they should keep the cold air north of the border in the winter.

It is a marketing program to promote oil and natural gas consumption. You're welcome.

If it is all cold air north of the border, what does that say about the air south of the border?

Blue, didn't you know that 30% of Western Canada's cold air is imported from the US by way of Alaska? We actually warm it up a bit before we pass it on down to the lower 49.

I have to say all I care about is the Northeast and it has been a very cold winter thanks to the northern winds.

With regards to oil, I just hope that all prices stay low so that I can increase my carbon footprint this summer with my new boat.
