After serving real time for a real crime, Mike Vick is back in the league.

woohoo, no punishment from the NFL..awesome.

Again reflects poorly on the NFL and their obvious lack of any morals...let's just hope the public doesn't allow him to get off as easy as they did

I am not convinced it is the NFL's job to punish people, on top of that punishment meted out by the courts. If the owners simply decide they don't want someone like him to work for them, that is their choice like any employer.

The NFL has a player code of conduct policy for every single player. This more than applies.

You don't think that being suspended for 2 seasons, forefeiting a multi-million dollar signing bonus, having a 10 year $130 mill contract nullified, and numerous multi-million dollar endorsement contracts cancelled isn't punishment enough?

What else could the League do to punish him?:dunno:

I guess he is not really "back" until a team signs him. He has too much baggage for most teams to sign him, but I bet there will be one or two willing to take a chance.

I am not sure where I stand on him as far as playing is concerned. On one hand, he has served his time for his crimes and is a free man and on the other hand, he is a thug. This dog fighting ring isn't the first thing Ronnie Mexico has done in his short career and I would bet he is not done screwing up yet.

On another note, it was crazy watching the Falcons completely change their team after Vick. I think they are much better off without him. Especially now that Ryan seems to be doing so well. They basically cleaned house of any players who were still supporting Vick. It was almost as if mgmt. said you are with Vick or you are with us and anyone with Vick is a cancer to the team. It really was strange.

Yeah, the NFL has no morals at all. Perhaps some day they can aspire to have the high moral code of the NBA. :yikes:

But seriously, it isn't high school. Pro sports is a business. Nothing more.
