Now that Steve Jobs is gone, his opposition to an iPad Mini is gone too. I'm an iPad fan and was an early adopter of the 1 and now on the 2 but I just don't get the Mini. I have never once thought that my iPad 2 was too big. "I sure wish my iPad 2 was smaller." Not once. Never.

But hey, build it and they will buy it.

The iPad mini starts at $329 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi model, with the 32 GB Wi-Fi model priced at $429 and the 64 GB Wi-Fi model coming in at $529. The models with cellular capability cost an additional $130. All models are available in the same black/slate and white/silver color schemes seen on the iPhone 5.

Pre-orders for the iPad mini will start on Friday, October 26 with the Wi-Fi models shipping on November 2 and the cellular models starting to ship two weeks later.

Interesting lawsuit regarding the Microsoft Surface.

Microsoft does things a bit different which is cause for concern with users.
Apparently Microsoft's operating system and apps share memory space with the user.

On the iPad, all the storage space after the 11 percent "discount" is available for the user's photos, movies and apps. The operating system and Apple's pre-installed apps have their own, separate memory space.
